Celtics Game

Well I have to tell everyone this story. Becky's mom won Celtics tickets the other day from Shaw's. It was some kind of contest for using your Shaw's Rewards card. Since she hates sports she gave us the tickets. The tickets were good seats with a $78 face value, Becky and I were pumped. So finally the day of the game came along on Friday the 10th. We put our green shirts on and hoped into the car and hit the road at 5pm plenty of time to make it for the 7:30pm game. We jump onto route 93 south and pass exit 5 and then slow down for some traffic. No biggie right, probably just Construction. WRONG!! 2 hours later of dead stopped traffic we got off at exit 4 and came home. When I say dead stopped traffic I mean dead stopped. everyone shut their cars off and got out. It was like a picnic on the highway. Apparently there was an accident and they needed to air lift someone out and there was a fatality at the scene. Oh well what can you do? We did not make the game, at least we didn't pay for the tickets.

Results for April 10th "Question of the Week"

Welcome everyone to April 10th's Results for the "Question of the Week"





This one was a lot of fun and we almost got 100% participation, only 3 people didn't respond which is awesome.





I thought it would be fun to ask a question pertaining to the New System. I know personally it's something that's always on my mind and it's good to keep it real to us. So with that here are the results.





I'm going to break it down into a few different categories to make it a bit easier for myself.





~Big Cats~





Black Panther:


My pick, when I was little I loved Heman. In the cartoon Heman rode on this big cat called "Battle Cat" which was cool but sort of lame. It was a green tiger, but Heman's Nemesis rode on a dark purple Panther named "Panthor" He was the coolest.











Liger:


Rabecca and Wendy's pick. These are the biggest cats in the world but, they are hybrid so they can't reproduce.








Cheetah:


Jenn Page's pick, fast, but not really all that big. It would be interesting to see a person riding one.








Jaguar:


Jacob Hemond's Pick. He isn't talking about the luxury car.





~Others~





Rhino:


Joe Lindsey and Josiah Hemond's Pick. Big slow moving tank of an animal.








Elephant:


Liz Cote and Kasey Hemond's pick. The Mini van of the animal world, plenty of room for friends.





Pygmy Elephant:


Corie Lyfords pick. Roomy and faster then its bigger cousin.





Ostrich:


Eric Caron and Jackie Parent's Pick. Very fast and dumb looking.





Horse:


My Dad and Janice Blydenburgh's pick. Typical, reliable and fast.





Red Elk:


Justin Peebles pick. Watch those antlers!

Giraffe:

Mark Page and Corinna Cressi's Pick. Mark said he picked it so his feet wouldn't drag :)

A Big Bird:

Silverback Gorilla:

Kyle Peter's Pick. All terrain animal.

Zebra:
Steph (Jo Jo's Friend) and Jason Whartenby. Horse with stripes.

Gazelle:
Jo Jo's Pick. She was very specific it had to be a Gazelle with a red saddle.

Grizzly Bear:
Ryan Lyford's Pick. I have no words excepts Awesome Pick :)

Kangaroo:
Jason Caron's Pick. Actually he told me he would ride in the pouch.

Komodo Dragon:
Jon Cote's Pick. Not sure this is even possible.

~Sea Animals~

Fin Whale:
Justin Peebles pick. He picked and land and sea animal.

Killer Whale:
Jason Whartenby's pick. He picked two as well.

Narwhal:
Jared Dallman's pick. I guess he's walking by land.

Manatee:
Matt Peeble's Pick. The ocean's speed bumps.

Sea Turtle pulled by 2 Dolphins:
Aaron Dallman's pick. Just ridiculous!

Pterodactyl:
Matt Nolte's Pick. Yeah he went prehistoric.

Monthly Book Club

Hi,
Just wanted to take a minute to give you the specific’s about the Book club. We are going to attempt to read a book a month starting with “The Giver” by Lois Lowery (179 pages). This pick was Eric Caron’s pick. After the month, I’m thinking on Saturday May 23^rd (actually this date will not work, the Pages have their assembly, instead lets try Saturday May 30th) we will meet and discuss “The Giver” at length, talking about likes, dislikes, feelings on the characters, feelings about the author…Etc. On that night we will also talk a bit about the next book picked to read. We should all get a turn to pick a book as long as we keep up with our reading. In talking to everyone it seems like a reasonable task to read a book a month, as long as we pick books that are of reasonable length. I will try to keep up emailing everyone so we can stay informed. I hope this is an enjoyable experience for everyone.

April 3rd Results

Hey everyone, I had a lot of fun with this one. Every time a response would come in I would just have to laugh it really was great. I got some pretty good response but I really thought we could have done better with this one, it was such a great question.

It was interesting how quickly the guys got their responses in and the girls slowly trickled in over the day. I think guys always have the name they wanted picked out in the back of their minds already.

Surprisingly both Aaron and Jared Dallman people want to be the same person. The gay guy from "How I Met Your Mother".

Ryan Lyford loves the Presidents of the United States of America, Millions of Peaches :)

This song was okay for a pop song and I could see it being very, very popular. She has a pleasant sounding voice and the tune is catchy but, it's just not my cup of tea.

Oh man, I thought the Boy band craze was all over. Look out world here comes another crappy one. V Factory is another group of boy toys singing crappy music to catchy beats. I seriously hope this does not catch on and we have a resurgence of terrible music. This song gets two thumbs way down, I mean way down. Okay, my thumbs can't get any further down, if my thumbs were further down they would be up in Japan. DO NOT download this song, free does not matter, this is national security we are talking about here. The world can take another boy band!
