Best Blog of the Day Award!!

I have some cool new's, Lights on an Empty street has won Best Blog of the Day and will be featured on their website for July 2nd. I just wanted to take a moment to thank them and also thank my supporters here at Lights on an empty Street.

    Blog Awards Winner

    Justice!?

This world has a sick and twisted view of Justice, Here is some Math to prove it. A few weeks ago 2 different events happened and that is where we will get out math from. The first event was the Air-France plane crash. The Second event was a girl who got caught Downloading music.

    First:
Air-France has decided to pay $24,000 to the families of the crash victims. With 228 Passengers that's $5,472,000.

    Second:
Court orders girl to pay $80,000 for each illegal download. She Downloaded 24 songs so that's a total of $1,920,000.

When you do the math you find out that 1 illegal downloaded song is worth the price of 3 1/3 people.

Or I can put it this way, she downloaded 24 songs but, lets say she downloaded 76. If she downloaded 76 songs it would have been worth more then all 228 lives on the Air-France plane.

    ...INSANITY!

    and they call it Justice.

If Life was Directed by Michael Bay

On Cracked.com they had some funny pictures about how life would be if Michael Bay directed it. I grabbed just a few of the ones I liked.

    teextile.com

I found this website similar to woot.com called teextile.com. Each day of the week they feature a new T-shirt design.

I probably shouldn't have joked about the size of that girls hips

When I made a joke about the size of a friend of mines hips, the friend happened to be a girl.

Here is the full story. Back when I was pioneering we were out in service, I don't remember the exact car group but I remember some of it. The back seat was comprised of Eric, Allison and myself. At one point for some reason I don't remember why, Allison decided to switch spots with Justin who was in the front passenger side spot. After a few moments I realized something, and instead of thinking before I spoke I blurted out "wow...we really gained some hip room back here." I made an enemy that day and thus...Foot in Mouth.

    Writer's Block

I have hit a wall with my writing and I don't get it. I guess name this post writer's block is not exactly accurate. I mean i have plenty to write about, I get new ideas daily. My problem is lately when i get home from work i don't feel like writing. When I'm at work though all these fantastic ideas pour into my brain like a river overflowing its banks. It like my house is the void of inspiration and as soon as I walk through the doors all creativity that was once in me disappears and leaves me with only the ability to lounge. My other problem is my inability to finish any piece I start. I'm currently working on 4 novels with at least 4 more novels I'm just letting run around in my brain, but I can't seen to finish any thing. What will generally happen with me is I will write a really good beginning and stop then when I go back to sit down I'll tweak the beginning again and it just keep happening every time. I'm constantly tweaking the beginning. Its almost OCD, I know that the beginning of the book is very important because if you don't hook the reader right away there is a higher chance that they put the book down and never pick it up again, but I think I'm putting to much emphasis on that in my mind and I can't get past it. Now I know that most of my readers are friends of mine who may not be into writing and may have no idea how to fix my problem, But if someone out there happens to read this post and understands the inner workings of the human brain please leave a comment. I am absolutely, 100% serious about this, I want to finish something eventually.

    Peace

    Gnarles Barkely Covers Radiohead

    The Last Airbender

Avatar: The Last Airbender was an Anime series on Nick. It was pretty good although I didn't watch the whole series only a few episodes here and there. I'm really shocked to see them making the movie already the series is only a few year old. I'm even more shocked to see them having M. Night Shyamalan directing it, seems like a gutsy call. M. Night Shyamalan makes movies you usually love or hate, I guess only time will tell how he does with this project.

    More on Street Monster

    Street Art or Vandalism?

Joseph Carnevale Stole three construction cones to make his "Street Art" in Raleigh North Carolina, but local police saw it as "Vandalism" and arrested the 21 year old college student. The Construction company whose cones were stolen said they viewed it as advertisement and would not push charges. What do you think?

"Question of the Week" Takes Summer Break

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that with summer being here the "Question of the Week" will be taking a summer break. It looks like this summer will be a big one, with lots of stuff planned and I don't think I will have much time for blogging so with that the "Question of the week" will most likely be very sporadic and maybe non-existent. Don't worry though its not gone for good just for a while. When things slow down I'll start right back up with it.

    Peace

Xbox 360 Scores Highest at E3

The Xbox 360 scored the highest at E3 this year really blowing out the competition. check out the really cool technology they are working on. Its called Project "Natal" and it's insane. If they can perfect it you can say by to Sony and Nintendo in my opinion.

    Pirate Tension

Just days after President Obama settled things with the Pirate Cap'n it seems the British navy did not get the memo. As the Cap'n sailed home with his wife and illegitimate son the British Navy opened fire turning their sleek little schooner into and burning pile of flotsam. See below picture for Reference:

Office Art + Comic Book Convention

I finally bought some art for my office. Becky, Justin, Joe and I went to a comic book convention in Manchester on Sunday. Artist's from all sorts of comic books were there and we got to meet and talk to some really cool people. This particular artist was sharing a booth with his best friend, they were both amazing. His name is Jason Casey. He does a lot of art based around musicians and the TV shows Heroes and Lost. When I got the talking with him I told him I was a big fan of both those shows, he got really excited and we started into a conversation about Lost and it's up coming final season. He also pointed out his darma pin on his lapel.
His buddy sharing the booth with him did photo realistic art. As I flipped through his pages of work I came across an amazing picture he had drawn of Thom York. He told me I was the first person that had ever come to one of his booths and knew who that was, we the proceeded into a Radiohead conversation.
I know a comic book convention seems really, really nerdy but, it was the highlight of my weekend. Everyone was really nice, the art was fantastic and there were less nerds there then expected. If you ever get the chance to go to one, don't hesitate. Don't Judge feeling like its going to be a nerdfest. If you like art, and having fun you should go.

    Obama Starts Talks with Pirates

Today marks a truly historical day! President Obama initiated talks with pirates right in Washington DC. No one is sure how far talks have gotten but it is rumored that all they really wanted was a few barrels of rum, some booty and a furby. The Pirate Cap'n and The President elect spoke for about 4 hours today. On the way out both Pirate and Obama spoke briefly to our reporters.

LES: "President Obama, how do you feel talk went with the Pirate Cap'n today?"

OB: "Get out of my way foo, don't you know it's supa time!"

LES: "Sorry Mr. President, it's just we thought you might want to talk about how talks went."

OB: "No I don't! I want to get me some of dat fried chicken, you smell what Barack is cooking?"

    LES: "Thank you Mr. President"

It was clear the President had other things on his mind, like the financial crisis. After our talk with the President we stopped the pirate Cap'n for a second.

LES: "Mr. Pirate Cap'n, how do you feel the talks went today with President Obama?"

    PC: "Arghh, well matey"

LES: "Can you elaborate in any way?"

PC: "Avast ye can, It was a cool September evening and the ocean churned like a stomach after eating taco bell. Buckshot Bill was at the helm when we spotted it..."

LES: "Umm, Cap'n, it's June 1st, what are you talking about."

PC: "Arghh! That it is, that it is. Do ye have any rum?"

LES: "Umm, no sir. Tic Tac?"

After we were able to convince him that a Tic Tac wasn't something you shove up your nose or put in rum the conversation carried on.

LES: "Our talks between you and the President going to continue through the week?"

PC: "Arghh! Ye President and I have come to an agreement. I get ye three barrels of rum monthly, some healthy snacks called Pirate Booty and a nice Furby for me other shoulder, you know to complement the parrot and I don't attack any of ye ships no more."

LES: "Oh that's great, it seems no one has reason to fear the open sea anymore. So it would seem President Obama has managed to solve the pirate crisis. Hopefully he starts to fix the financial crisis soon."

**No I'm not a racist, I just have a sense of humor!
